Mid Century Guy Rogers ‘New Yorker’ Lounge Suite Three Seater Sofa & Two Armchair

£3,250.00

Vintage Guy Rogers ‘New Yorker’ lounge suite from the 1960’s. Consisting of a three seater sofa and two armchairs, one being high back. Designed by Eric Pamphilon (Director of Design at Guy Rogers) and George Freyer, together they produced some amazing furniture alongside Harold Dykes & family (owners of ‘Guy Rogers’) who retailed almost exclusively through the Heals stores. The beautiful sculptural sofa frame is made from solid teak with a wonderful grain. What makes this sofa even more special is that it can be enjoyed in the centre of a room as opposed to being pushed against a wall, again just showing off its fabulous curves and lines. The two armchairs are incredibly stylish offering is matched by its attention to detail and outright quality of construction. The design is a picture of understated elegance where functionality meets wonderfully pared down lines and subtle detailing. There is absolutely nothing superfluous, the chair encourages comfortable, supportive yet relaxed seating,

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Odd mark and scratch commensurate with age. Some fading of the armrests due to sunlight exposure..
