Vintage Mid Century Ercol Windsor Model 400 Dining Chairs x 4

Vintage Ercol 400 dining chairs. There are four in total. This iconic design was made between 1958 and 1985. This set dates no later than 1976 as have the blue makers label. We know this because only four spindles are present in the hooped back, originally five then reduced to four in 1958. Not to be mistaken with the 307 dining chair which is a close relative but with six spindles. The 400 are no longer in production, making these extremely collectible. Manufactured in elm and beech these dining chairs have stood the test of time. Their classic shape and gently tapered legs are so typical of the era and of the Ercol company itself, style and sophistication in perfect unison. Blue makers label on the back of the some of the chairs.

Condition: All the chairs are sturdy. They all though do clearly show their history with marks, scratches and fading.
