Vintage G Plan butterfly chairs. Lovely set of 1950’s G Plan dining chairs by E Gomme. From one of the pioneers of mid century British furniture, the butterfly chairs are both stylish and practical. Backrests are made in a teak veneer and the frames in beech. The seats are original and do not comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988 (as amended in 1989, 1993 and 2010) so would need to be replaced.
Condition: The chairs are all sturdy but do show their history. The backrests are mark and scratched as to be expected. The frames really would need to be repainted as the black paint has peeled off on all the chairs. Also the seat fabric is worn and marked as all. They do need to be replaced as do not comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988 (as amended in 1989, 1993 and 2010)
