Vintage G Plan quadrille dressing table chest of drawers. Beautifully designed and crafted. This is a scarcely seen piece designed by R. Bennett for G Plan as part of the ‘Quadrille’ range. Featuring contrasting rosewood faced drawer handles, four short drawers and two long, with adjustable mirror. The dressing table sits on a stunning solid teak trapeze style base. The teak has a lovely vintage golden patina that only age can achieve. The mirror and supports can be taken off as fixed with four screw and be used as a chest of drawers or sideboard.
When G Plan hired the designer R. Bennett to join their design team, they welcomed the man that would create one of the most iconic designs that G Plan was to ever produce. With its understated elegance and clean lines, the Quadrille range of furniture, created in 1965, was an instant success, with its Scandinavian influenced shaped legs and handles.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Fading and colour variation on the top surface which is common. Marks and scratches commensurate with age.
